Sunshine & Sushi

Today I roller coasted through an exciting emotion of looking forward to going to Italy, to realistically planning it out and declining a spontaneous trip across to beautiful Italian cities. Myself and a friend had spoken about traveling through some parts of Europe, unfortunately this morning we realized that perhaps spontaneous actions were not appropriate for this matter- as costs of travel and accommodation at such last minute were proving to be too much $$$$... Four nights away, seemed like two weeks away and so we resulted in being clever and not stupid, declining travel- and confirming lunch plans.  Catrine house enticed us in with their mouthwateringly grand ice-cream and toasties! After literally bouncing about in the afternoon, I said goodbye to one friend and hello to another.

Ending the day driving down to the Ayrshire coastline, chatting with sushi by the sea I retold American stories and caught up with another friend from my yearly absence.

Horsey HAPPY

This iPhone is growing on me, here I am again sitting relaxing and typing up this post. Yes... I could be sat by my laptop and get online, probably via many social media sites and some externals site browsing, to complete this blog- but the convenient app on this iPhone allows me to touch type until my hearts content.

It's almost midnight and I'm just in the cottage. The night is still purple and pink from the setting sun fighting the moon, I couldn't believe the time when I came inside. Having been outside since 7pm I've just spent the evening pondering and wandering around the farm, enjoying everything there is to smile at without leaving my humble abode.

Lounging in the field with my furry friends.

Why the long face Hayleigh?

My homegrown vegetable patch Strawberries- oh so fresh!!

Now I'm off to sleep, like this sleepy horse- relaxed and happy.

GOODnight!

A Wild Day Out

Roadtrip? I asked. Where? They asked. Anywhere- I exclaimed!!

Today we headed for ‘a wild day out’, making the most of this summery weather Scotland is treating us with at the moment- we got in the car and headed for Stirling.

Drummond Safari Park became our destination of the day, reliving our youths!  Having become one with the nonexistent monkeys that we thought we would see… we crept around the park laughing at lamas and goggling at giraffes.  The most exciting part of the afternoon has to have been the paddleboats in the pond. Never have I ever laughed so much whilst trying to control a boy on a paddleboat.  Game on, sweat on we turned the pond into a battle like dodgems and raced little families around the crocodile infested waters. .. .

Heading home we passed Stirling Castle whilst stopping for lunch, collecting items for our next itinerary item- BBQ.  We ended the evening barbecuing food in a nonexistent BBQ (the oven), again staying outside getting all the rays we can from the glorious sunshine.

Fun with Frazzle

Not only have I been busy rekindling friendships, but I have also rekindled my taste buds to the beauty of all foods- NANDOs. It is rather sad how excited some people get over food, but I get it- I get it, food lovers.. . I do. So much appreciation in every bite!

After returning I hadn’t had a Nandos until today with a friend, and boy oh boy did I enjoy it. Lemon and Herb is my flavor… . what’s yours?

On Cloud 9

Playing catch up, again.  Today our paths lead to Catrine House, which was an excellent choice for a well-needed catch up with a friend. I had missed this place, spending a lot of time here with friends during academy days; I crunched my way through a delicious Panini and slurped my green tea. Which.. . was warm, since I could not have it cold- I felt so ‘American’ when they said they couldn’t do an iced green tea, but I guess no one had ever asked for one before in the cafĂ©. . … Since they do make it here in the UK.

Cloud 9 was the name of this tuttifruitti sorbe icecream with melted white chocolate drizzled all over.
